Peter Bonilla, soc
Director of Photography PETER BONILLA has over two decades worth of film and video production experience in the Los Angeles, New York and Montreal markets and across the globe. He first established his love for Photography as a youth, experimenting with developing his still images with a home darkroom setup. During his late teens, he built a professional darkroom and assembled an anamorphic still portfolio for the Fantascope Corporation, a company founded by

the late Jon Hall to manufacture anamorphic lenses for the Stills, Super 8 and 16mm markets. After graduating Cum Laude from UCLA Film School, Peter relocated to Montreal where he worked for the National Film Board of Canada. He subsequently went freelance as an assistant cameraman, and eventually moved to New York where he worked with and trained under such greats as Arthur Ornitz, Ed Lachman, Greg Andracke and Jeri Sopanen among others.

Peter is fluent in French and Spanish and has travelled extensively. He lived in Saudi Arabia for almost a year directing and shooting training films for Aramco. His credits include countless documentaries, music videos, commercials, PSAs, corporate and independent film projects. He is currently lensing various projects in HD, primarily with Panasonic P2 cameras.
